Large Snow could come on Wednesday
Next Wednesday their is a chance for a monster storm, and according to the models this would bring about 1.35 inches of precipitation, and depending on the temperature that could vary from 10 to 20 inches of snow. Now obviously this is not a sure thing, because if the storm track ends up being farther north than expected now, that would mean more rain and ice and less snow, allowing for lesser snow totals. But as of now it is expected to be snow. Also, according to accuweather.com, there is another chance for a large snow next weekend. These should both be major snows, so keep checking back for updates on the storm that should effect our region on wednesday with a major snowstorm.

More snow possible Friday/Saturday and next Wednesday/Thursday
According to Accuweather.com and weather.com, there should be two more storms approaching the area, both predicting different outcomes for each storm. Weather.com thinks that the storm on Friday and Saturday should be the bigger one, forecasting snow, but on the second storm, it forecasts only "Few snow showers." On the other hand, accuweather.com is the opposite, calling for snow showers on the first storm and a solid snow for the second storm. Right now, both storms look very goo to me. The GFS weather model has the second storm being bigger now, but the model has been shaky many times. Also, if you calculate the snow totals, the first storm would bring down .7 inches of precipitation, or around 8 inches of snow. The second storm would bring 1.7 inches of precipitation, or around 20 inches of snow. This could be a monster!! But usually the GFS overdoes things, so I would say around 6 inches for the first storm and 18 inches for the second. Their is still a lot of speculation, but I think we have our hands full with snow for the next week and a half.

Big storm possibility on Monday
I have been looking at the updated GFS Weather Model, which can be found here, that is calling for large amounts of precipitation in the metropolitan area. I have checked multiple weather forecasts on weather.com and accuweather.com and they both call for light snow or snow, but have not updated in a while. It should be cold enough with the freeze that should last into next week, and it should start on Sunday night and finish on Tuesday according to the model. For anyone at school, this will probably mean no school on Monday or Tuesday. If you add up all of the precipitation, you get about 2.35 inches. But then you have to multiply that by around 8 because snow is much larger than rain. This means that according to the gfs we will get 18.8 inches. Though I know that will not happen because the gfs models always make the storms longer than they really are. But the storm could dump as much as a foot of snow, but I highly doubt 18.8 inches. This storm might be the most snow we get all winter, as it is supposed to be a much lighter winter than last year. If you don't remember, we had about 5 storms in the area that dumped at least 8 inches, including 2 that dumped 20 inches or more.

Snow: More snow possible on Wednesday
According to accuweather.com, there could be more snow for the New York Metropolitan area this Wednesday, on top of the 25 inches we picked up on Thursday and Friday. This can be a major problem because the trees that already are weakened from the 20 inches on them for 3 days, so even if there isn't nearly as much snow as the last storm, there can still be some major problems.

Unbelievable Snow! Our Snow Totals
Yesterday and Today, we got 25 inches of snow, and of all the reports I have heard so far, the most in lower Westchester County, which is believable because if you go even only a couple of miles east, it is about 20 inches because of the mixing yesterday further east, due to being closer to the ocean. My friend in Edgemont, which is a 15 minuet ride east of here, has only 18 inches, a huge drop from our 25 inches.
